Proeflokaal

From January 2025, Nuenens College will have its own school restaurant: ProefLokaal. Here, students from the Care & Welfare profile provide lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and breakfast on Friday morning.

In ProefLokaal our Z&W students learn to cook, serve and welcome guests professionally. They are helped by students from the Economics & Entrepreneurship profile. They are responsible for guest reception, marketing, administration and inventory management. This collaboration between different profiles offers students valuable practical experience in a real working environment. They learn technical skills, such as kitchen and catering work, but also essential social skills, such as collaboration, organization and customer-oriented thinking. ProefLokaal is a tangible example of meaningful education at Nuenens College, where students develop their talents, take responsibility and work together to create a unique guest experience. ProefLokaal not only offers an educational practice, but also a cozy and professional setting for our guests. It is the place where learning, hospitality and collaboration come together.
