A day at Nuenens College
Hi, I’m Suus van Eijk, I’m 14 years old, and I’m in the third year of the vmbo-t stream. Choosing Nuenens College was actually an easy decision. My sister already went to school here, so I already had some idea of what it was like. It seemed like a nice school, and now that I’m a student here myself, I’m really enjoying it!
A teacher who really makes a difference
At school, Ms. Soetens is my favorite. She’s basically my bestie! She is super sweet, and we can always have a good chat. Her classes are always fun, and she often asks how I’m doing. That makes going to school really enjoyable.
True crime: my passion for the law
What do I want to be when I grow up? A lawyer! I watch a lot of true crime with my mom and listen to podcasts about criminal cases. It helps me learn how everything works and what’s involved. Working in a courtroom just seems really cool to me. What do I love about true crime? Seeing how detectives work and how suspects get caught. It’s not just exciting; you learn a lot from it, too. When I watch with my mom, we often talk about it and figure out how we would handle a case like that ourselves.
But before that happens, I first need to get my diploma at Nuenens College. I’ve really found my place here, with great teachers and friends!
