Lindsey Jansen: ‘My mother used to always say, "Enjoy your time in secondary school." At the time, I thought, "Yeah, right." But looking back, it really was the best time of my life. As a student, I had absolutely no idea what I wanted to be; I was mostly just focused on having fun.

Now I work at a childcare center in Nuenen. The best part of my job? The children! They’re always happy to see me, and that really gives me a boost of energy. I also appreciate the freedom I have at work. For instance, I can easily take the kids outside without having to stick to a rigid schedule.

What advice would I give young people? Enjoy your time here at Nuenens College. And make sure to surround yourself with good people who believe in you.’
